How does it work?

Simply search for your device or browse by category. You will be prompted to answer a few questions about the condition of the best top smart phones devices. After confirming your answers, you will be given a quote. If you accept the quote, submit your order. Ship phone to us and get paid.

Is the amount I am quoted the guaranteed amount?

Not necessarily. In most cases, the condition you claimed during the quote process will be accepted. But sometimes, the condition you think the device is in and our assessment may differ, and the quote may change. You have the option to accept or deny the new quote.

How do I remove my iCloud account from my device?

If you have an iOS7 Apple device that is locked to an iCloud account, you must  unlock it before you sell it. If you don’t we will reduce the amount of money to Damage/Broken rate.

Removing your iCloud account from your device is easy and can either be done via the device itself or via icloud.com.

Please follow either Option 1 or Option 2 instructions below. Option 2 is recommended if your device is faulty.

Option 1

  • Removing iCloud account via your device
  • Turn device ON
  • Select Settings
  • Select iCloud
  • Press Delete Account
  • Enter Apple ID password when prompted
  • Select Turn Off
  • The above process must be done before wiping or restoring the device.

Option 2

  • Removing iCloud account via icloud.com
  • Removing iCloud account via icloud.com
  • Device must be switched OFF
  • Log into icloud.com with Apple ID and password
  • Select Find My iPhone
  • Select device from All Devices drop down
  • Device should appear as Offline
  • Select Remove from Account
  • Select Remove on confirmation message

How long does it take to get paid?

No one wants to be wait to get their money! We understand that. If you request payment by PayPal or check, you should have your payment within 48hrs after we receive your phone . That means if we received your iPhone on a Monday, you should have the money in your account by Wednesday. For check payments we need a valid email address as all check payments will be send send via eCheck. An eCheck is simply an electronic version of a paper check, the only difference is that you retrieve it via your email.

  3. Print the check using any printer

Do I need to delete my personal information?

Every device that comes in is wiped clean of all information, whether you’ve already done it or not.

Can I change my mind after I receive your offer for my device?

Sure. You can review the offer and choose whether or not to proceed with the trade­in.



Is there a limit on the number of phones I can sell?

No TradeOldPhone.com does not have a quantity limit. Whether you are an individual with 1 or 2 phones, or a large office with 200 phones , we are the program for you.



How can I track the status of my sale?

Tracking the status of your sale is easy. Simply visit the “Track Your Device” page of our website and enter the email address you used to register the sale of your device. From here, you will be able to view the complete status of your order from when we receive it until when the payment is sent.


Can I still sell my phone if it has a bad ESN/IMEI?

Yes: If the phone or mobile device has a bad ESN / IMEI then it means it is not clear for activation for a new user. This will reduce the value, but we will accept this phone as a “Broken/Damaged” device.
